Australia’s Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has awarded Leidos Australia a three-year contract worth A$91 million to provide enterprise computing services supporting its applications and digital platforms. The scope covers compute, storage, data-centre networking, cloud services, platform engineering, middleware, database management and data warehousing across DHDA’s multi-vendor ICT environment.
Industry observers say the modernization will underpin AI-powered health analytics, enabling faster processing of patient data, real-time interoperability across providers and scalable analytics for population health. By consolidating demand into a managed enterprise computing stack, DHDA aims to improve security, resilience and agility while supporting future AI and machine learning workloads. The deal signals a broader push to modernize health IT infrastructure across public services and to enable safer, faster analytics for clinical decision support and patient outcomes.
