RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers and AWS launch innovation hub

RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers University and Amazon Web Services have launched a technology and innovation hub at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School to accelerate student-generated healthcare ideas. The program combines academic and clinical innovation expertise with cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling researchers and clinicians to validate concepts, prototype solutions and pilot implementations that address real-world patient-care challenges.

Unveiled Sept. 15 during the AWS Imagine Summit in Chicago, the hub links RWJBarnabas Health’s patient-care network with Rutgers’ research enterprise and AWS’s cloud and AI services. The collaboration aims to streamline the path from concept to patient-ready tools by offering mentorship, access to analytics and secure data environments, and scalable computing resources that accelerate testing and deployment in clinical settings. The initiative seeks measurable improvements in patient outcomes and efficiency.
